The sudden death due to the assassination of 31-year-old Charlie Kirk, who was the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), a leading conservative platform, has shocked the entire world.
People from all sides of the political spectrum are offering their tributes and condolences. Apart from President Donald Trump, who immediately issued a personal statement, former American Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden also expressed their condolences.
In a statement by President Donald Trump, he expressed the loss his inner circle is experiencing due to the death of Charlie Kirk, who he referred to as “the great, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk,” adding, “No one understood or had the heart of the youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.”
The President gave glowing remarks about his friend, saying, “He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me.” He also extended his condolences to his wife and family, saying how his sympathies are with them.
Eric Trump also extended condolences, calling Kirk, “an incredible patriot — brave, tough as hell, and a dear friend to our entire family.” Eric also stated that flags would fly half-staff at all Trump properties to mourn the loss of Kirk. He also promised to celebrate Charlie’s life and make him proud.
The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, also offered a heart-wrenching message after the death of Kirk. She said, “Charlie’s children will be raised with stories instead of memories, photographs instead of laughter, and silence where their father’s voice should have echoed.” She urged the public to reflect at this time, saying, “compassionate awareness elevates family, love, and country.”
Trump’s eldest child, Donald Trump Jr, also expressed his grief saying the assassination has been “absolutely devastating.” He went on to write, “This isn’t my strong suit and I don’t even know how to begin to put into words the loss I am feeling right now.” He called Kirk his “little brother” and a “true inspiration.” He also praised his courage and faith, and how devoted he was to his young family. He also highlighted how influential he was to young minds, saying, “The impact he had on young people — reaching them in masses, giving them courage to stand up, to think for themselves, and to fight for freedom — is immeasurable.”
He also credited him with helping Trump win his presidency, saying, “He changed the direction of this nation.”
He went on to promise, “I’ll honor him by loving boldly, speaking truth without fear, and continuing his spirit of courage. His fight lives on in all of us who loved him,” He ended the note with, “Rest in peace, brother. You will be missed more than words can ever say — but your legacy will never be forgotten.”
