Trump’s latest threat did not come in a vacuum. It followed weeks of brutal conflict, the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and a series of retaliatory strikes that proved Tehran was far from “beaten into submission.” With control over the Strait of Hormuz still in Iran’s hands, global energy markets and fragile alliances now hang on a single deadline set in Washington.

By promising Iran will have “no bridges” and “no power plants” if his demands are ignored, Trump has deliberately painted a picture of a country plunged into pre-industrial ruin. His ominous post about “a whole civilization” dying has only deepened fears that nuclear options are on the table. Whether this is reckless bluff, psychological warfare, or a prelude to catastrophe, one thing is clear: the margin for miscalculation is terrifyingly thin, and the world is watching, waiting, and bracing for what comes next.
