BREAKING: Top MSNBC Host is OUT

Chuck Todd, former host of *Meet the Press*, is leaving NBC News to explore new opportunities outside the NBCUniversal family. His contract, which was set to expire after the 2024 election, was expected to end around that time. Todd shared his excitement about new projects in a memo to staff and mentioned his *Chuck Toddcast* podcast will continue with a new home soon.

NBC News expressed gratitude for Todd’s contributions over his nearly 20-year career and wished him well in his future endeavors. Todd is one of many media figures transitioning to digital platforms, like CNN’s Jim Acosta and former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly.

Todd emphasized the need for the media to rebuild trust by focusing on local partnerships and community engagement, rather than relying on algorithms or social media manipulation. Public trust in the media has been steadily declining, with 36% of U.S. adults reporting no trust in the media, according to Gallup.
