The Internet is an endless source of information. While we once had to visit a library in pursuit of knowledge, now everything we need to know is at our fingertips.

However, while the online world offers all kind of data and entertainment, there are also things that can disturb us.

Below is a highlight of some online search regrets people have shared, warning you of the words you should never google.

Beware the Larvae

A Redditor shared that instead of typing “moth larva,” he wrote “mouth larva” instead and was left in shock by the results. Of course, what he hoped for was to see a moth in the infant stage, but ended up looking at horrifying photos of parasites hatching inside living beings, including humans.

These parasites that live inside the creature’s mouth cause infection known as “oral myiasis.”

Jiggers

While most of us know that jigger refers to an hourglass-shaped tool bartenders use to pour shots, the phrase jigger flea, which can easily appear while searching the former, is a terrifying insect that burrows into the skin and lays eggs. They cause severe discomfort and health issues if not treated properly. Trust us, the images of people affected by these fleas are beyond disturbing.

Brazilian Girls

The band Brazilian Girls should definitely add another word to their name if they want fans to find them easily on the search platforms. The reason why? Googling the term “Brazilian Girls” will leave you with a bunch of tutorials on waxing, and naked girls… a lot of them!

Degloving

Degloving may sound like something related to gloves, but it’s definitely one of the words you should never google. The reason why is because degloving is when a large piece of the skin along with the layer of soft tissue right under it is partially or completely ripped from your muscles and connecting tissues, as explained by WebMD.

Fournier

A person on Reddit advised social media users not to google the NBA star Evan Fournier, jokingly adding that his nickname should be Never Google. It turns out that if you search “Fournier,” results of a highly disturbing condition known as Fournier’s gangrene appears. It is a severe necrotizing fasciitis affecting the genitals and perineum.
