The most anticipated part of the upcoming American Idol season is without a doubt Carrie Underwood’s return to the show. Underwood’s return to the show as a judge has been a long time in the making given that she was American Idol‘s fourth-ever winner. That being so, people have been buzzing over Carrie Underwood’s impending return.American Idol recently took to Instagram to tease Underwood’s anticipated return by posting a trailer of already-filmed episodes. The trailer features a plethora of golden moments, however, the one that is seemingly garnering the most attention is Carrie Underwood shedding some tears.

It is unclear as to why and when these tears flow, but regardless, Underwood is seen snuffling up with a tissue and embracing her co-stars, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. The clip is a testament to how much Underwood cares about this show, and despite her recent inauguration performance causing a stir amongst some fans, people are still supporting her given her unwavering passion.

Thanks to Carrie Underwood’s performance of “American The Beautiful” at the inauguration, people have been boycotting American Idol. In their recent post, some users wrote, “Not watching” and “Not watching anymore.” Contrary to Underwood’s negative reception, there have been hoards of fans praising her return.

Some of the more positive comments to come from Underwood’s return include, “YES CARRIE!!!!!!! QUEEEEEEN!!!!!,” “Watching just for Carrie this season!!,” and “I will not miss a minute of @carrieunderwood and the entire cast!!!”

Several other users wrote, “Just here for Carrie!,” “Haven’t watched in years but will be just to see Carrie!,” and “Can’t wait to watch Carrie be a judge! Haven’t watched in a decade but will absolutely be tuning in this season!” Underwood’s inauguration performance has certainly ruffled some feathers, but politics aside, the country music superstar is seemingly putting her all into this season. It seems her most steadfast fans have realized that fact and also supported it. Hopefully, Carrie Underwood’s epic return will make the splash people are expecting.
