Emirates Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Dubai; All Passengers Safe

An Emirates flight from India to Dubai made an emergency landing at Dubai International Airport on Wednesday. All 300 on board — 282 passengers and 18 crew — were safely evacuated. Tragically, a firefighter died responding to the incident, and 10 people were hospitalized.

The flight, EK521 from Thiruvananthapuram, may have encountered wind shear on descent. Smoke and fire were seen at the site. Emirates has not detailed the cause, but Boeing and local authorities are investigating. Flight operations were delayed for hours but have since resumed.
