BREAKING UPDATE | FBI RELEASES SUSPECT IMAGES IN NANCY GUTHRIE CASE
The FBI has released images of the person suspected of abducting 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie.
Authorities say the person shown in the images is believed to have been armed. The images were taken by Nancy Guthrie’s missing camera at about 1:47 on the morning she disappeared. They were recovered (it seems from a server or cloud) by a private company using advanced forensic technology.
Family members have carefully reviewed the images and say they do not recognize the individual.

Nancy Guthrie, 84 — the mother of TODAY show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie — remains missing, and investigators now believe she was taken from her home outside Tucson, Arizona.
According to authorities, Nancy was dropped off at her home late Saturday, January 31, 2026. That is the last confirmed time she is known to have been there.
Concern grew the following day, Sunday, February 1, when Nancy did not arrive at her local church. After someone from the church alerted the family, relatives went to her home to check on her. When they could not find her, she was reported missing to police around noon.
As deputies examined the home, the case quickly escalated from a missing person report to a criminal investigation. Investigators now believe Nancy was taken from the residence against her will and are treating the case as a possible abduction.
Inside the home, investigators located DNA evidence belonging to Nancy. Reports also indicate that small drops believed to be blood were found at the scene, although authorities have not publicly detailed the evidence. Nancy’s purse, cell phone, and other personal belongings were found inside the home.
Investigators have emphasized that Nancy is “sharp as a tack,” and that dementia or cognitive decline is not a factor. She has significant mobility limitations and requires daily medication for a serious medical condition, making it extremely unlikely she left on her own.
In the days since her disappearance, ransom messages referencing the case have been sent to several television networks. Authorities say they are actively investigating whether those communications are legitimate.
Nancy Guthrie is described as 5’5”, approximately 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
