Produced by Donald Glover’s company, Gilga, “The Heart” not only demonstrates Malia’s skills as a director but also showcases her adaptability. Before taking on the role of director, Malia had already established herself as a staff writer for Glover’s Amazon Prime series, “Swarm.”

Even Donald Glover, a well-established artist in his own right, praised Malia’s talents, emphasizing that her renowned heritage had no influence on her treatment during production.
