MOM LEAVES “BABY” IN CAR WHILE SHOPPING AT TARGET – ASSURES BYSTANDERS HE’S FINE

These days, it’s almost impossible to step out in public without the chance of being caught online.

We live in an age where viral stories and clips are the norm, with funny, awkward, and sometimes deeply personal videos and images being shared instantly across the internet.

While this can be exploited, it can also serve a purpose; for example, holding people accountable for their actions.

This might have been the case when an Instagram post went viral in early March, allegedly showing a note from a mother who had left her baby in the car while she shopped at Target.

Heart-stopping, right? There’s more to this story than meets the eye.

Influencer Bonnie Engle shared a reel on Instagram in March, which quickly gained millions of views and over 1,000 comments.

The viral video shows a close-up of a handwritten note taped inside a car window, reading, “My baby is OK. He’s got his drink and his nibbles! I’m in Target right now. Back soon!”

Naturally, many viewers were alarmed by the note alone.

However, those who watched the full video soon realized that Engle is more of a prankster than a negligent mother. A few seconds after the close-up on the note, the camera pulls back to reveal that Engle’s “baby” in the car is actually her husband.

“Please no judgment,” Engle captioned the Instagram video. “He is safe and sound.”

Her spouse is seen comfortably waiting in the car while enjoying some popcorn.

Fortunately, viewers in the comments section appreciated the humor in Bonnie’s video.

One person wrote, “My heart dropped and then I LMAO.”

Another commented, “Leaving them in the car is so much easier.”

A third person said, “For a split second, I thought I was going to lose it… That surprised me, too.”

Many of Engle’s posts are reportedly lighthearted and resonate with mothers who understand the daily challenges of motherhood.
