She wrote on Instagram, “Pepe, what can I say but I love you and rest in peace, my friend. My only witness that pau sang happy birthday to me in the middle of a concert in Hollywood, you couldn’t believe it. Love you mucho mucho mucho. I wish I had told you more.”

TV journalist and producer Michael Fairman also mourned the actor, “Very, very sad. I am a bit in shock, as I saw Francisco at my gym most every day.”

San Martin was born on August 27, 1985, on the island of Mallorca, Spain, before moving to Montana, where he began his acting career in children’s theatre.

After relocating to Madrid in his teens, he pursued modeling and acting lessons, which led to appearances in various Spanish stage, television, and film productions.

After acting in a small role in the 2013 TV movie “Behind the Candelabra,” he returned to daytime television in 2017 for “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

The actor later reflected on his experience on soap operas, noting that he got a warmer and more welcoming environment working on the set of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” contrasting it with the initial challenges he faced at “Days of Our Lives.”

“At Days people were more standoffish, maybe because I was fresh from Spain and they really didn’t think I was experienced. I get a very different vibe at B&B,” he explained.
