She Was Called a ‘Pedophile’ For Marrying a ’10-Year-Old’, Well Now They’re Having Triplets

A newlywed woman who found herself at the center of cruel online attacks after sharing wedding photos says she and her wife are choosing joy — and a growing family — over the ugliness of internet trolls.

Lauren Kaye, 31, never expected her wedding memories to become fodder for harassment. But after she posted photos from her intimate ceremony last summer, strangers flooded her social media with vicious remarks, some falsely accusing her of being her partner’s mother and others making far more disturbing claims based solely on her wife’s youthful appearance.

The comments, Lauren says, crossed from ignorant to outright sinister.

Her wife, Hannah, 29, has a naturally boyish look that online critics seized on, with some going so far as to label the relationship inappropriate — an allegation the couple firmly rejects as both offensive and absurd. Lauren calls the messages “madness” and says they reflect more about the people posting them than about her marriage.

Despite the ugliness, Lauren insists she refuses to let strangers steal her happiness. She says she’s developed thick skin over the years and generally scrolls past the worst remarks, even as some messages are deeply unsettling. Among the comments left on her wedding photos were cruel jokes suggesting Hannah was a child walking his “mother” down the aisle.

While the online abuse is disturbing, Lauren says what hurts more are the moments in real life — like when strangers in stores assume Hannah is a child and direct conversation only to her.

For Hannah, the confusion follows her everywhere. She says being mistaken for a young boy has become routine, forcing her to carry identification constantly, whether she’s picking up age-restricted items or attending a movie. At times, the repeated questioning has made her reluctant to go out at all.

Still, Hannah is clear-eyed about the situation. Being compared to a child is upsetting, she says, but the accusations hurled online are far worse. She believes much of the backlash stems from her clothing and presentation, with critics suggesting she should change her appearance to avoid scrutiny. That’s not happening.

“It’s 2025,” Hannah has said, noting that same-sex couples — including those with more masculine-presenting partners — are nothing new. She says she refuses to hide who she is to satisfy strangers on the internet.

Their love story, meanwhile, has moved quickly and confidently. The couple met on Tinder two years ago, got engaged in early 2024, and were married just months later in a registry office ceremony in Surrey. Lauren says she knew early on that Hannah was the person she wanted to build a life with.

And now, the couple is doing exactly that.

In a twist that has left critics with little to say, Lauren and Hannah recently revealed they are expecting triplets. Lauren is already a mother to two children from a previous relationship, and after exploring options, the couple pursued IVF overseas. She says becoming a parent again — this time with a supportive partner by her side — is something she’s deeply grateful for.

Rather than retreating from public view, the couple says they’re focused on their future, their family and the life they’re building together. While trolls continue to talk, Lauren and Hannah say they’re too busy preparing for what comes next — and that, ultimately, is the best response of all.
