Conservative influencer Charlie Kirk is deceased at the age of 31, and Danica Patrick is in shock.

The right-wing talk show host and activist was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University.

The 31-year-old media personality was happily posting about the event, which was part of “The American Comeback Tour,” in the hours before the shooting.

The event also hosted his “prove me wrong” table, where audience members debated the activist in a public setting.

At bad luck would have it, Charlie Kirk, who has been mourned by the likes of Harrison Butker, was talking about gun violence in America when a bullet hit him in his neck.

Shortly after his death was confirmed, Danica Patrick took to her Instagram story to react to the news.

Patrick re-shared a picture of Kirk kissing his wife while they held their children and posted the caption, “Heartbroken.”

Two people have since been in custody over the shooting, but both times, the men were released when it was revealed that they had nothing to do with the shooting.

Kirk’s death comes as the nation has confronted a rash of political violence that has seen two assassination attempts against Donald Trump and the killing of a top Democrat in her house alongside her husband.
