The community of Albania, a municipality located in the south of the department of Caquetá, is dismayed after learning of the  strange death of an eight-year-old boy.According to initial reports, the minor, identified as

Arlex Perdomo Rojas , died on Friday, after arriving home, overheated from playing in the street, entering his home, going to the refrigerator and drinking a glass of water.(You might be interested in: The video of the slain singer Zair Guette when he spoke about death: ‘One shot first’).This would have caused the child to develop

heat stroke , since, after consuming this cold drink, minutes later

his health began to deteriorate.

Local media reported that although the boy was taken to a medical center,

life-saving efforts were unsuccessful, and he died.Authorities are conducting the respective investigations to determine the causes of Arlex’s death, after engaging in an activity that any child would want to be doing.

The school Arlex attended expressed his condolences.

The Albania Educational Institution issued a statement expressing that Arlex’s death “leaves an immense void, but

his legacy of love and enthusiasm will remain in our hearts.”The minor was in third grade, where he taught his classmates, friends, and teachers the

“value of every moment.”“We send a hug of strength and resilience to his entire family as they face this difficult time,” the statement reads.

Albania’s Mayor’s Office spoke out on the matter

The child’s death has caused shock throughout the municipality of Albania. Therefore, the Mayor’s Office decided to send a message to his family.“

With profound sadness, we offer our prayers for the soul of Arlex Perdomo Rojas . His passing leaves a huge void in our hearts, but his legacy will live forever in our memories. We are with his family and friends in this difficult time, extending our most sincere condolences,” the Mayor’s Office wrote.
